Costa Rica

The southern Pacific coast boasts some of the best surfing in the Americas, and Costa Rica is in a unique location in that region. It is on the direct paths of the trade winds flowing from the Caribbean, bringing moisture and life to the area. In addition, Costa Rica sits along the biological corridor that connects North and South America. The Southern Zone is known to be one of the most biologically diverse regions on the planet. The strong political state, public safety and stance on environmental protection make this an attractive place for foreigners to invest their money and time.

Costa Rica is an ideal location for Americans and Canadians to travel within only a few hours and remain in the same time zone. This is a place to escape the complexities of life and return to a more simple time where your worries are the surf report and which fruit combination will taste the best in today’s fresh smoothie.

“Costa Rica is famous for being one of the most biologically rich spots in the world. Though it occupies less than 0.01 percent of the planet’s landmass, the tiny nation is home to 5 percent of all species, and the country has pursued an aggressive agenda to protect this diversity. The government has set aside 26 percent of its land for conservation, which means it is closing in on an important milestone under its treaty obligations in the 1993 U.N. Convention on Biological Diversity.” – Nature Magazine
